Purpose and Scope of the Post:
The Gaiety School of Acting – The National Theatre School of Ireland is seeking an enthusiastic,efficient and creative Marketing Assistant to support the School’s Marketing Department. This post reports directly to the Head of Marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Marketing
- Coordinate the School’s online and social networking profile, regularly update all onlineplatforms, responsible for reaching new audiences online
- Assist in website management
- Identify current marketing, online and social media trends
- Coordinate and liaise with Head of Marketing to gather high quality marketing content
- Assist in delivering on targets and ambitions as set out within Marketing Plan
- Assist on advertising and promotional campaigns
- Database management
- Assist in online web analytics and rankings
- Oversee and coordinate market research
- Write marketing literature (brochure copy, press releases) as required
- Responsibility for events and press calls as needed
- Responsibility for distribution of marketing materials
- Coordinate and implement target marketing for specific courses
- Assist with design and production of marketing materials
- Assist with on-street campaigns and distribution strategies
- Assist in formatting and delivering email campaigns
- Any other duties that may be specified by and agreed with the Head of Marketing andGeneral Manager
Person SpecificationEssential skills and experience:
- High level of literacy, communication and organisational skills
- Experience with social media, email and online marketing
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to work in a constantly busy work environment with a high level of time management
- Excellent communication skills
- Acute attention to detail and experience in copywriting
- Ability to manage several tasks and projects simultaneously
- Team player
- Fluent English
- Resourcefulness
- Creativity
- Works on initiative
Desirable:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in marketing
- Knowledge of and interest in arts/theatre
- Design experience
Salary and Hours:
- The salary for this post is €22,500. This post is 30 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm.Work outside these hours may be required. No overtime is payable, however time in lieu isoffered.
