We would love any suggestions you might have for the roles of ZOE and COLIN in a new feature film THE PIPER, shooting in Bulgaria end June – end August 2021. Please see full character descriptions and notes below.

ZOE is hard of hearing so would especially love to hear from any girls who have experience of that world, but it’s not essential. Both Zoe and Colin need to look 8 – 10 so if you have older clients who can look younger please send.

These are really nice lead roles so we need kids who are strong performers and will be able to handle a large number of scenes. And a PERFECT US ACCENT is a major requirement for both roles.

LEAD – US ACCENT NEEDED Aged: 8 – 10 – she should look around this age but obviously can go older if they can look younger and for a child that can carry this off as it is a lead role.

A mischievous, brave, and very sensitive kid, Zoe cares a great deal for those around her. Despite her hearing disability, she has a growing fascination with music and determination to learn. Her hearing aid allows her to sense the Pied Piper and beat him at his own game together with her mom Mel.

Zoe is curious, smart and comes across as wiser than her years.

Please Note: We are looking for suggestions that are deaf/partially deaf for the role of Zoe. NOT a requirement but if you have a client that is deaf or partially deaf or has experienced this world through friends or family please please say in your notes.

COLIN

SUPPORTING ROLE Aged: 8 – 10 – Very good role so we need a child who can handle all the scenes and so please do suggest older actors who look younger. US ACCENT NEEDED

Zoe’s best friend and adventure buddy. Colin is on the timid side and gets easily spooked, but nevertheless always follows Zoe. His fearful soul is the first one we see become a prisoner to the Pied Piper.
