Casting Brief

Emerine (‘Nina’) Scully:

Playing age – 16/17

Physically small, but with a large presence – wiry and tough.

Part Emma Gonzales, part Gretta Thunberg, Emerine (‘Nina’) is a feisty teenager with an attitude. The adopted daughter of  the local school headmaster, she is ‘the outsider’ to her peers. Pragmatic and headstrong, she grows from being an awkward troublemaker to a reluctant but powerful leader.
