This course runs every Saturday from 10am – 5pm

It is aimed at those who are new to the Industry with little or no Acting experience and who want to know and explore Film and TV acting -which is very different from stage Acting.

The course covers the following:

How to create a character and back-story

  • How to break a script down
  • Acting for camera – camera angles, eye lines, and framing
  • Improvisation
  • Voice and movement
  • Casting for TV Commercials/Short Films and how you source auditions
  • Audition and Interview technique
  • The Art of Self-taping,
  • Write and make your own short in a day, using theory learned from class
  • How to market yourself within the Industry with no Agent
  • Compiling a C.V.
  • How Actors get an Agent

Please look at a few sample showreels under our GRADUATES section. These were all newcomers, and they give you a clear idea as to what your headshot and showreel would look like.

We have our photographer take your Headshot, and on the final day of the course our professional crew will come to film your monologue – which we will have sourced for you during the course. It will be edited and sent to you; for you to promote yourself to casting directors, agents and directors.

The  course is run by Gillian Reynolds Casting, and will feature a guest Tutor from the world of Film and TV production.

A deposit of €250 is required to secure a place and full payment should be made before the commencement of the course.
A refund can be given provided we have two weeks notice before the course starts.

This course is also available mid-week running on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30 pm – 9.30 pm, for 10 weeks.
