VOLUNTEERS WANTED – UCIFF 2026
The Underground Cinema International Film Festival is looking for 2–3 Screening Room Volunteers to join our festival team August 29th & 30th.
This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in film festivals, event production, and working directly with independent filmmakers.
Role Responsibilities
Operate film screenings from the festival desk
Set up and play screening programmes using VLC Media Player
Monitor sound levels and ensure screenings run smoothly
Work closely with the ferstival director and filmmakers before and after screenings
Help keep programmes running on schedule
Provide a friendly and professional point of contact in the screening roomWe’re Looking For People Who:
Are comfortable using computers and media playback software (experience with VLC is preferred) Are reliable, organised, and calm under pressure Enjoy meeting and working with filmmakers and festival guests Have an interest in film, cinema, or live events Can commit to one or more festival daysIf you’d like to be part of the team this year, email with a brief introduction and any relevant experience.
