We are looking for 5 actors to star in our upcoming short film, ‘Bullet Punch’. This exciting new Irish comedy follows four friends in a boxing and gambling ring as they come out swinging to take back money they unfairly lost.
Please note this is an UNPAID opportunity for everyone involved. We hope to begin filming in late July and throughout August in Dublin.
TO AUDITION
You can audition with a recorded reading of the Bullet Punch script or an acting showreel by JULY 18.
Please email bulletpunchfilm@gmail.com to receive your audition script and to send your audition videos.
ROLES AVAILABLE
18-24 years old. Female presenting.
Short, muscular, long hair. Wears tracksuits, hoodies, and has a general sense of “filth” about her. She’s the de facto leader of the group. Can control a situation, strong in a fight, clever and crafty, and a bit of a loose cannon.
18-24 years old. Male presenting.
Tall, Lanky, potentially glasses and frosted tips. The charismatic man of the group. He’s money hungry, runs the fight ring they set up. He manages the bets and commentates. He follows Orla as a second in command, defusing the situations she brought about through his words. He thinks he’s persuasive enough to control Orla. He’s wrong.
18-24 years old. Male presenting
Average height, knit jumpers, loose trousers, muscular build. Soft looking. The sane man. He’s a boxer like Orla, he fights professionally and he’s, physically, the strongest in the group. He, however, doesn’t want to get involved in their “plots”. He doesn’t like fighting outside of a ring and tries to be the voice of reason.
18-24 years old. Female presenting.
Funky hairstyle, fashionable clothes. She’s chill. She sides more with Vincent, not wanting to get caught up in anything for fear of arrest, bad name, etc. But also she really, really wants money. Whereas the other three all have strong convictions and reasons for their goals, Erin just kinda wants some new things, so she’s down for the plan.
Mid twenties. Male presenting
Expensive tracksuits, shirts and ties for his “casual” clothes. Awful haircut he thinks is cool. He’s a son of very rich parents. He believes that his 4 months of an expensive gym membership he uses biweekly makes him the hardest lad in the country, so he goes to this boxing event. He has no problem being a rule breaker. When put under pressure, he cries and the “hard lad” persona drops instantly.
