Hello, we are looking for actors for our upcoming Graduate Shortfilm “HERE” which is a production of the National Film School.
SYNOPSIS:
Leon returns home for Christmas for the first time since he left for college. It will be the first Christmas without his Mother Helen who died recently. Although anxious about seeing his Father Paul and younger sister Maeve, he feels as though he needs to fill his Mother’s shoes and be the caretaker of the family.
Leon must navigate returning to his childhood home which is devoid of any Christmas cheer and a shrine to his Mother. While his sister is happy to see him, his father can’t help but feel hurt by his absence. Leon’s love language are acts of service which he alone thinks will make up for lost time where in truth all he needs to do is be there.
We are currently casting for the role of PAUL.
PAUL – CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Caucasian Irish Male. (40-50). Paul has suddenly lost the love of his life Helen. He continues with life as his daughter Maeve is depending on him. This death has forever changed his outlook on life as he has grown sceptical of optimism, once a man always up for a laugh but right now all he is doing is surviving. Maeve is the only light in his life at the moment as his eldest son Leon ran away in his eyes. He loves his son dearly but can’t help but to put some anger of his grief on him. How could his own son not be here for the family?
