Dublin Dance Festival – for the first time in 2 years, is welcoming back a full team of volunteers for our 2022 Edition.

Take a chance this festival and see dance from a different perspective. From live, on-stage performances to site-specific events, round table discussions to symposiums, artist liaison activities to box office assistance. There is something for everyone.

So, whether it’s about experiencing dance for the first time, meeting like-minded people or starting a new career path, volunteering puts you at the heart of it all. Be part of our Chorus Line this May and we will put you centre stage.

Closing date is Friday 29 April, 5pm sharp and you can apply here

Here is some more information on the volunteer roles you can get involved with:

VENUES: DDF is known for taking over traditional venues (The Abbey Theatre, Project Arts Centre) as well as some outdoor and site specific locations (this year sees us at Wood Quay Amphitheatre & Christchurch Concourse). Roles and duties for the volunteers include: stewarding, ushering, ticket scanning and digital market research. Be on the frontline as it happens and see performances from a different angle.

ARTIST LIAISON: This year we have a special position for a volunteer who would like to gain some behind the scenes experience of a work in the making by one of our international artists. This volunteer will be lucky enough to assist the artist during rehearsals and on the days of performance in the lead up to the final weekend of the festival.

TALKS & IN-DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS: This part of programme is taking place in DanceHouse (City Centre) and will involve Round Table Discussion between art makers and choreographers, first looks at works in progress and a symposium on Dance – these shifts are perfect for a someone studying dance as a career or looking to become an academic – many faces and limbs come together for one topic.

BOX OFFICE & HOSPITALITY: Our Box Office is the hub of the festival located in Festival House Temple Bar – here the volunteer will be assisting our Box Office Manager batching tickets for upcoming events and helping with drop off to venues if needed. This year we are also hoping to turn the Box Office into an artists hub where they will be made feel welcome to relax, work or find out a bit more about our city and festival. A little slice of Irish Hospitality goes a long way – why not become a Festival Ambassador
