CALL FOR BACKGROUND TALENT For an Irish Crime/Western feature film
Big Bay Entertainment, a Waterford based production company, are currently producing a film called Tuesday Traders based on a novel by local author and cycling legend Sean Kelly, with a screenplay written by Luke Corcoran (award winning filmmaker and actor). It’s being produced in association with the Waterford Arts Council, and stars Irish veteran actors Alan Devine, Paul Ronan, and Ciara O’Callaghan.
It tells the story of a retired soldier tortured by the untimely death of his beloved wife. His childhood friends’ efforts to comfort him yield little. And soon after, the apparent suicide of one such friend adds salt to an already unbearable wound. But when our man suddenly suspects foul play, his small town is in for a big shakedown.
We’re looking for local background actors to take part in some fun scenes during the month of May:
Thursday the 12th – Clonmel Racetrack – a day at the races, so formal attire required.
Friday the 20th – Church and Graveyard – funeral attire is essential.
Monday the 23rd – Pub – Casual attire.
The usual standards for apparel apply: No branding and no stripes please. We need about 15 to 20 background artists for each scene.
THESE ARE UNPAID ROLES, but guarantee a good time, and we’d just love to have locals be a part of the project and see this home grown independent project come to life!
