AA Ireland is looking for a new Researcher/Broadcaster to join the Roadwatch team.
This position is a part-time role and is primarily research based, with some broadcast shifts.
The role involves shift work – mainly during morning and evening rush hour (6am – 9:30am and 4pm – 7pm) Monday to Friday, as well as night time (7pm -11pm), weekend and public holiday shifts.
The position is primarily based in our offices in Dublin city centre, with some shifts in the Dublin City Council camera room as well.
Applicants would ideally have previous journalism/broadcast experience/qualification and a genuine interest in radio and research work.
The Roadwatch newsroom is an exciting, fast-paced environment; so the role requires a capable team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. The ideal candidate would also have a keen interest in all aspects of media including social media.
If you are interesting in working with us, send a CV and a 30 second demo of a mock traffic report by e-mail to roadwatchjob@gmail.com. (They do not have to be broadcast quality – a phone recording is fine). Traffic reports only – news demos will not be accepted.
Closing date for applications is midnight Sunday 24th November. Only applications complete with CV and traffic demo will be considered.
