Year Work Experience Scheme with TG4 for graduates or beginners.

Applications are welcome from beginners or graduates / university students for a period of one year on work experience with TG4 in Baile na hAbhann.

This is an opportunity for people starting out in the Video sector and seeking practical experience to support the training they have received to date. Salary will be paid during this year of work experience and additional training opportunities will be available during the year.

Trainees are being sought in the following areas: \ t

> Social media coordinator.

A person with excellent Irish and an interest in the social platforms sought. The successful candidate will be expected to have good research and writing skills as well as an understanding of what makes an appeal.

Duties will include short items of TG4 social platforms to be discovered, scheduled and edited. There will be caption and subtitles to create online material, as well as adapting material to social platforms. The person with recorded skills will have an advantage.

The successful candidate will gain comprehensive experience working in the area of ​​current production which co-ordinates editorial work and publishing work on the Digital platforms.

> Software Developer / Internet Developer

Applications are invited from people who are trained in software development and internet development. Information on JavaScript, PHP, CSS, Phyton, Angular, Nodejs, Linux, Windows, iOS, Android, Amazon Web Services will be an advantage. Candidates with knowledge of the design aspect of UI will also be welcome.

Duties will include technology projects, apps and internet programs to be developed, especially the TG4 Player. Experience will be provided in the development of multimedia distribution systems (Mobile, Desktop & Connected Devices). The role will be suitable for people with software skills, coding, interactive media and cloud computing as well as API development.

The successful candidate will gain comprehensive experience of the following systems which are commonly used on TG4 platforms: Brightcove; WordPress, Amazon WebServices; Cloudinary, and there will be an opportunity to understand the field of data science or personalized computer science.
