TG4 welcomes applications for the post of Communications Manager.

This is a senior, challenging position managing TG4’s publicity and communications work. The successful candidate will be based in TG4’s headquarters in the Galway Gaeltacht and will be responsible to the Director of Marketing, Development and Partnerships.

TG4 provides a wealth of online programming and content for viewers. The channel is available on many platforms, not only in Ireland but around the world and TG4 aims to increase audiences to the programs, stimulate their interest and connect with them across the world.

Draw up and implement a cross-platform communications plan to ensure that the public is aware of TG4’s program schedule and services.
Devise and implement effective, engaging and innovative communications campaigns.

Organize and manage TG4 promotional events.

EXPERIENCES
The successful candidate will have experience at senior level in the media or publicity and marketing sectors.

She / he will demonstrate skill and experience in the drafting and management of publicity and the development of communications campaigns on traditional, social and digital media, to communicate a message to the public.

Among the requisite abilities are:

Broad experience in the media or in the marketing / publicity sector.
An excellent understanding of the ability of social media and digital platforms to find audiences.
Advanced written and spoken Irish and English skills
Ability to compile information in both languages ​​and to be made available in formats suitable for distribution on a multi-platform basis
Excellent copywriting, idiom and headline skills.
An understanding of TG4’s diverse viewing communities and the ability to guide information accordingly
The successful candidate will manage TG4’s publicity work, and collaborate with program producers and other staff (both internal and external) to create or adapt promotional material.

Position on full-time permanent contract.
